1. Who we are
Semper is a macOS memory/context app in development. For privacy questions, contact hello@semper.systems.
2. Information we collect on the website
When you join the waitlist, we collect:
- Your email address.
- The date and time you joined.
- A source label showing the signup came from semper.systems.
The local development version of this site stores waitlist entries in a JSONL file on the server running the site. Production deployments may forward waitlist entries to a configured storage webhook or record structured signups in server logs until durable storage is connected.
3. Website logs and cookies
The current site does not use advertising cookies or analytics scripts. The server may process ordinary technical request information, such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamps, to operate and secure the site.
4. How we use waitlist information
We use waitlist information to:
- Notify you about Semper preview access.
- Send meaningful product, source release, and launch updates.
- Maintain and protect the waitlist.
- Respond to requests you send us.
5. The Semper app and local context
Semper is being built local-first. The macOS app is designed to capture useful screen context, run OCR, store records locally in SQLite, save frontmost app metadata, and provide searchable capture history on your Mac. Semper is not designed to upload your screen context by default.
If future versions add optional cloud sync, collaboration, accounts, or integrations, those features should be clearly explained and this policy should be updated before they are enabled.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your waitlist email address. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may share limited information with service providers who help operate the site, email waitlist users, host infrastructure, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep waitlist information while Semper is in development and while it is useful for early access communication. You can ask us to remove your waitlist email by contacting hello@semper.systems.
8. Security
We use reasonable measures appropriate to a small early-stage product to protect the information we collect. No website, app, or storage system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.
9. Children
Semper is not directed to children under 13, and the waitlist is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child submitted information, contact us so we can remove it.
10. Your choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete your waitlist information by emailing hello@semper.systems. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable law.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as Semper changes. The effective date above will change when the policy is updated.
